What is your service?
Preschool offering sessional care and education for 3-4 year olds, mornings and afternoons, 15 hours per week funded providing spaces available.
Where is your service located, what geographic area(s) does it cover? How is it delivered? (Clinic, outreach, school, community centre etc)?
NR3 area north city close to local amenities.
What needs does your service aim to meet for children and young people with SEND and their families?
Families with 3-4 year old children. Experiences and activities planned to individual children’s needs and interests, following the EYFS.
What outcomes does your service aim to achieve for children and young people with SEND and their families?
To achieve the child’s best outcome through rich learning experiences. Individual educational plans. Transitions to school. Families are supported in conjunction with any other outside agencies if required.
How is your service fully accessible to children, young people with SEND and their families eg: facilities, support from staff?
Wheelchair accessible, trained staff in a range of different needs.
How do you communicate with children, young people with SEND and their families?
Daily verbal communication. Sharing learning journeys.
What training have your staff and/or volunteers received to support children and young people with SEND and their families?
All staff at least level 3 child care and education trained. I level 4, 2 EYPS. Various individual staff trained in autism spectrum, EAL, early talk speech and language courses etc
